Harmony of the Waves

Harmony of the Waves: Welcome

About the Project

Created during Richmond Hill’s 2024/25 Artist in Residence program, Harmony of the Waves reflects the rhythmic flow of water and the spirit of community. Jamaican-Canadian artist Jasmine Vanstone gathered ideas from residents at City of Richmond Hill events (Canada Day 2024 & Art Walk 2024) and Afraspektion 2024, weaving their voices into this collaborative and community-engaged piece. This project was developed in partnership with STEPS Public Art and with mentorship from Oddside Arts.

Funded by: Canadian Race Relations Foundation, TD Bank Group, Ontario Arts Council and Government of Ontario.

Volunteer Support by: Amirah Star, Phillip Saunders, Cameron Marshall, Dwayne Fagan, Carpenters Union
